About StrangersGo

StrangersGo organises group trips and events, where you travel with other people who booked the same trip. Each trip page shows what is included, the itinerary, prices and any trip-specific terms. Those trip-specific terms apply together with these.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older to create an account and book.
• Keep your login details private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
• Give accurate details. We may close accounts that are used for fraud or abuse.

Booking and payment

• When you start a booking, your seats are held for a short time while you enter traveller details and pay. If the time runs out, the seats are released.
• A booking is confirmed only when our payment provider confirms the payment, and we then email you and issue a ticket for every seat. Closing the payment window or a failed payment does not confirm a booking.
• Prices are in Indian rupees and are the prices shown when you book. Payments are handled by Razorpay (UPI, cards and net banking).
• Seats are limited. If a trip sells out while you are paying, we refund any payment that could not be matched to seats.

Travellers

• Every seat needs a traveller: full name as on their ID, age and an emergency contact. The person booking is responsible for the details of everyone on the booking.
• Every traveller must upload a valid photo ID at least 3 days before departure and carry the original on the trip. Hotels and transport may refuse a traveller without valid ID.
• Travellers under 18 can join only on a booking made by their parent or guardian, who is responsible for them.
• Make sure each traveller is fit for the trip's activities (the trip page describes them), and tell us about any medical condition that matters for the trip.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy, or a trip's own cancellation policy if its page shows one.

On the trip

• Group trips work because everyone looks out for each other. Respect your fellow travellers, the trip leader, local people and places.
• The trip leader may remove anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk (for example violence, harassment or illegal drugs), without a refund.
• Follow the trip leader's safety instructions, especially during activities such as trekking, rafting or driving.
• Itineraries can change because of weather, roads, safety or local conditions. We will always try to offer something of the same standard.

Partners and insurance

• Hotels, transport, activity operators and other partners provide parts of each trip under their own terms. We choose them carefully, but we are not responsible for their acts or for events outside our control (such as weather, strikes, natural disasters or government orders).
• Travel insurance is not included unless a trip page says so. We recommend it.
• Look after your belongings: we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Our responsibility

We take care in planning and running every trip. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as missed connections or time off work). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.

Using the website

• Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break into it, overload it, copy its content in bulk or book seats you do not intend to use.
• Photos and text on the site belong to StrangersGo or are used with permission.
• How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

Disputes and changes

• If something goes wrong, contact us first and we will try to put it right.
• These terms are governed by Indian law, and disputes are handled by the courts of India.
• We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you booked apply to that booking.
